Safari was “invented” here….
Kenya is by far the world’s most popular Safari destination. No wonder – the word ‘safari’ is a Swahili word meaning ‘long journey’.
However, it’s a journey that can never be long enough to absorb the full majesty of the sweeping plains and huge herds of antelopes, gazelle, wildebeest, and zebra. And, of course, the iconic animals that prey on them: the Nile crocodile, cheetahs, leopards, and the king of them all, the lion.
